Old wooden parts will be restored, repaired or replaced if necessary. We will try our best to match wood finish to match the appearance of the original loom.
We will make individual string heddles or replace with Texsolve, wire or flat heddles.
Send us a line and we'll get back to you.
We would love to hear from you. If you need help, send pics and we can begin to see what is necessary to get you weaving.
We have been restoring looms since 1972 when my father brought home a Union Loom that had been sitting on a dirt floor for several years.
This is Eloise. She and her parents visited Boothbay Railway Village where she joined me in weaving on the old barn loom. Eloise was tall enough to use her hands and feet to weave. I think her
smile says it all.

It is an exciting moment when your first project comes off the loom. Classes for groups and individuals are available.
Visitors to my booth in Folk Arts Tent 2 were invited to try weaving. Here someone is trying out the little handmade loom we restored. Someone else is waiting their turn.

I bumped into Tyler while demonstrating at Halcyon Yarn in Bath, Maine. He's weaving on a little 5 harness, folding, treadle loom that was found in a barn. We replaced some parts and washed and waxed the wood.
